Thank you for your interest in supporting the Choroideremia Research Foundation (CRF). Volunteers play a vital role in advancing our mission. There are many ways to get involved, depending on your skills and interests:

C.A.R.S. Program

Volunteers visit local medical professionals and share educational materials to increase awareness of CHM.

Leadership Committees

Committees, made up of board and non-board members, help guide CRF’s strategic priorities. We welcome volunteers with expertise in:

  • Publications & Communications – marketing, graphic design, video, social media
  • Audit & Finance – budgeting, investments, nonprofit accounting
  • Conference – project management, organization, event logistics
  • Patient Engagement – advocacy, social work, nursing, accessibility
  • Fundraising – sales skills, phone/email outreach, enthusiasm
  • Research – healthcare, data analysis, scientific expertise

Data Entry

Assist with maintaining CRF’s database of researchers, doctors, and members. Typing and online search skills are helpful; training is provided.

Conference & Regional Meeting Assistance

Help at CRF events across the U.S. and internationally. Tasks may include welcoming attendees, stuffing bags, guiding patients, set-up, and clean-up.
